Welcome to the SkyRidge Business Center & Nature Preserve
About
SkyRidge Business Center & Nature Preserve offers an ideal environment for your business to flourish. Three buildings provide creative office, showroom, and warehouse suites, while the surrounding ponds, trails, gardens, sculpture, and wildlife habitat make the business environment extra pleasant for employees and visitors.
SkyRidge is a 17-acre collaborative between a landscape architect, realtor and their tenants in the City of Minnetonka, Minnesota. Jerry and Mary Jo Bailey of Bailey Properties purchased an undesirable site in 1986 including an existing wetland then developed it with innovative technologies, a sequential series of stormwater retention ponds, and properly-sited buildings, all with a deep commitment to sustainable development in mind. The site is adjacent to a regional bike path, features many varieties of native plants, and receives 100% of its electrical energy from Xcel Energy’s Windsource Program. Business decisions such as a green cleaning product purchasing policy, replacement of old water fixtures, and on-site restoration of wildlife habitat, shows a unique, long-term perspective on what it means to operate a business effectively, profitably, and sustainably.

TODAY
Jerry Bailey purchased an undesirable site including an existing wetland. The wetland was treated like a dump with trash and other waste spread throughout the property.
After further development of the land, Jerry Bailey constructed the 5800 building of SkyRidge. It was origionally built as the new Arteka headquarters building.
The appreciation for SkyRidge grew and while the property became more popular, the demand for office space in the area also grew. As a result,
it was decided that construction of the second building at SkyRidge would begin.
After successful construction of the first two buildings, Jerry and Mary Jo Bailey made the decision to begin development on SkyRidge 5810 so that
more people and companies can enjoy SkyRidge and the nature preserve.
With the help of The Weidt Group Inc, SkyRidge building 5800 becomes the first LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) for EB+OM (Existing Buildings Operations and Maintenance) in Minnesota.
Today the SkyRidge Business Center & Nature Preserve is flourishing with life, activity and serves as a home to many businessess and wildlife
in an area where the two can peacefully coexist. Throughout the years the Nature Preserve has been upgraded through many improvements
including the addition of the Ring of Fire Park, trail upgrades and development of the Amphitheater including the Stage, Tri-Table, Hex Table,
Arc Bar, seating, water features and more.
